Consistency is harder than capability. Any shop can make a good first article. What decides whether a programme is worth running is whether batch two hundred looks and measures like batch one — and that is an engineering and systems problem, not a craftsmanship one.
Wherever a result depends on a person's eye or feel, it will drift. So we push those decisions into equipment: computer-controlled powder output and voltage, ovens that read actual part temperature, spectrophotometers that read colour instead of technicians who describe it.
Every handover between factories adds transport, a queue, and someone who can blame someone else. Keeping stamping, coating and assembly on one site removes all three. It also means engineering feedback between processes takes hours rather than weeks.
Production is scheduled and recorded in ERP, and every batch carries its lot number and inspection data. When a customer audit asks what happened on a particular date, the answer is a record, not a recollection.
We want to be the supplier a customer stops worrying about — the one whose parts arrive on the promised date, to the agreed specification, with the paperwork already attached.
